Payroll Administrator
Time & Pay Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Payroll Specialist to join our team. We are a locally owned payroll service bureau serving multiple clients with strict deadlines and high service expectations.
This role requires strong customer service, organization and multitasking skills. What You’ll Do
- Process payroll accurately and on time for approximately 60+ clients
- Prioritize tasks daily to ensure payroll deadlines and client expectations are met
- Enter and update payroll data including pay rate changes, deductions, tax updates, new hires, and other requests
- Upload and reconcile 401(k), HSA, and Workers’ Compensation files
- Send payroll previews, follow up with clients before deadlines, and finalize payrolls
- Respond to client emails and calls professionally and promptly
- Manage frequent task switching while maintaining accuracy and organization
- Research and resolve payroll questions by reviewing system history, notes, emails, and records
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll information
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow processes

Helpful Experience (but not required):
- Payroll or timekeeping experience
- Familiarity with Payentry or SwipeClock/TimeWorksPlus
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including data organization, basic formulas, and working with spreadsheets for data import)

Compensation & Benefits
- $16–$19/hour starting range, based on experience and demonstrated ability
