Brooksville Healthcare is seeking a Payroll/HR Coordinator to support the heart of our operations, ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with employment laws, and positive employee experiences.

You’ll play a vital role in safeguarding sensitive data, supporting new hires, coordinating benefits, and guiding department leaders through key HR functions. If you’re a self-starter with strong communication skills and a passion for people and process, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:

Department: Administration
Reports To: Business Office Manager

As Payroll/HR Coordinator, you’ll oversee payroll processing, support employee onboarding, manage HR compliance documentation, and serve as a helpful resource for staff and department heads. This position requires discretion, time management, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

What You’ll Need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Payroll/HR, preferably in a skilled nursing facility

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Timekeeping system experience strongly preferred

  • Strong math, reconciliation, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with regulatory requirements

  • Professional appearance and a team-focused attitude

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and audit timecards for accuracy

  • Coordinate hiring, onboarding, orientations, and benefit enrollments

  • Maintain employee files, I-9s, licensure checks, and required HR postings

  • Track FMLA, LOA, Workers' Comp, evaluations, and performance documentation

  • Support compliance during surveys, audits, and OSHA reporting

  • Ensure up-to-date HR records, policy documents, and benefits tracking

  • Partner with managers to reinforce company policies and procedures

  • Handle inquiries, employee relations support, and exit interviews
