Payroll and Benefit Specialist
Aicota Health Care Center is looking for a Payroll and Benefit Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll and benefits administration of an organization. This includes monitoring and maintaining accurate payroll and benefit records, maintaining employee records, processing payroll and benefit payments, and providing customer service to employees regarding payroll and benefit issues. The specialist must ensure payroll and benefit compliance with applicable laws and regulations and provide accurate and timely reports to management. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Performs bi-weekly payroll administration and ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll.
· Maintains employee records and payroll audits
· Tracks benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k, life and other benefits as necessary), and assists staff with onboarding of benefits, and enrolling them into the new systems.
· Assists with benefits audits and year-end/annual details throughout the year as needed.
· Assigns badge numbers and registers new team members into a timekeeping system.
· Train and orients new staff on payroll and benefits processes
· Answers employee questions on payroll and benefits issues
· Develops and implements policies and procedures related to payroll and benefits.
· Maintains HRIS systems.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Human Resources certification or continuing education desired.
· Experience working in Human Resources preferred.
· General knowledge of Human Resources and employment law practices.
· Previous experience working in an administrative setting.
