We are seeking a Pastry Cook to join our new patisserie team. Our ideal candidate has an upbeat demeanor, passion for the baking and pastry arts, and some professional training or experience. The Pastry Cook will produce and maintain pastries, cakes, and other baking delicacies to the highest quality for Renault Winery Resort.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and portray the VIVÂMEE Values.
  • Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
  • Bake pastry items according to pre-established recipes
  • Produces desserts of the highest quality for our various outlets on property.
  • Produces and plates desserts for all banquets, weddings and special events.
  • Decorate pastries in a consistent style
  • Cook crêpes for our guests in our new open kitchen concept Café Le Fleur
  • Ensure food comes out quickly and in a high-quality fashion
  • Greet guests with positive demeanor
  • Maintain inventory of prepped ingredients
  • Properly label and store ingredients
  • Adheres to all board of health cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Job Requirements
  • At least 1 of year experience or completion of a culinary school program or apprenticeship preferred
  • Pastry-making experience preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to accurately make mousses, custards, caramels, and batters.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.
