The Holiday Inn Express is looking for a Breakfast Attendant who is responsible for preparing, serving, and maintaining the complimentary breakfast service for hotel guests. This role ensures a clean, organized, and welcoming breakfast area while delivering exceptional customer service and adhering to health and safety standards. 

Position Available: Weekends Only

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and arrange breakfast items according to brand standards, including hot and cold food options.
  • Ensure food presentation is visually appealing, fresh, and properly labeled.
  • Monitor food temperature and quality to meet safety regulations.
  • Restock food, beverages, and supplies throughout the breakfast service hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, floors, and equipment.
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local health department and Holiday Inn Express brand standards.
  • Clean and sanitize serving utensils and equipment after each use.
  • Monitor and replenish breakfast supplies and condiments.
  • Assist with inventory counts and notify management of low stock or needed reorders.
  • Handle food and beverage items efficiently to minimize waste.

Qualifications

  • Food handling certificate in states or counties where required.
  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Patience and customer-oriented approach
  • Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
  • Must be fluent in English.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 50lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to stand during the entire 8-hour shift.
