Part/Full Time Preschool Assistant Teacher

Montessori Academy of Upland is looking for a full-time or part-time Assistant Teacher. Please review the following description of qualifications and responsibilities. If you are interested in a position please email your resume and transcripts.

The person selected for this position will be responsible for assisting a classroom teacher in the general supervision and management of a class of children.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE 12 ECE UNITS. (3 UNITS BE INFANT/TODDLER SPECIFIC HIGHLY PREFERRED.)

Must be available Monday thru Friday for a consistent schedule (ie. 8:15 am-5: 15 pm, 9:30am-6:30pm)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Assisting in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the teacher.
• Assisting in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up learning centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
• Supervising the children during class time and outside play.
• Helping with the general housekeeping tasks.
• Assisting the teacher in any other appropriate ways.
• Treating all children with dignity and respect.
• Attending all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences.
• Attending parent meetings, open houses, and other classroom events.
• Participating in professional organizations that work for the improvement of early childhood education.
