Outside Sales Representative (Heavy Duty Parts)

Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for an Outside Sales Representative (Aftermarket) in our Thunder Bay location.
What You Will Do:
- The successful candidate will engage with current and new customers to build and maintain strong business relations while providing exceptional customer service
- Travel to customer locations within the assigned territory. (Up to 75% travel time)
- Develop reporting and sales plans on customer accounts, outlining needs, issues, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Review new product applications, technical services, market conditions, advertising, and promotional trends as they are released
- Participate in training programs that include vendors, sales, and other professional development areas
- Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
- Conduct industry-related presentations
- May deliver parts to customer locations
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Require:
- Three (3) - Five (5) year's sales experience in an outside sales role with demonstrated B2B experience and customer service required
- Valid class 5/G license with 5 years of Canadian driving experience required
- A driver’s abstract with no major infractions in the last 5 years is required
- Excellent Customer Service skills - you exceed the expectations of internal and external customers
- A team player with a no-excuses attitude - you do what it takes to get the job done right
- Strong follow-up and accountability mindset - you don't let issues slide
- Exceptional problem-solving skills - you don't just spit issues, you fix them fast
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail - accuracy and documentation are essential to success in this role
- Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, Word, Excel) and ability to learn in-house systems.
- Heavy-duty parts knowledge or background in a related industry is an asset
- Proficiency with additional languages is an asset
