Outside Sales Representative
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing customer relationships. This role involves prospecting, developing, and closing sales opportunities for both rental and retail equipment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, knowledgeable in the industry, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, field-based role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within a defined territory.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, construction companies, and project managers.
- Promote and rent/sell a full range of equipment including excavators, skid steers, aerial lifts, compactors, and more.
- Conduct site visits to understand customer needs and provide solutions.
- Collaborate with the inside sales and service teams to ensure excellent customer support.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and rental goals.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity using CRM tools.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and new offerings.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of sales experience in construction, equipment rental, or a related field.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction equipment and applications preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel within assigned territory.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
