What You'll Do:

  • Represent the company in a courteous, professional manner in all interactions.
  • Maintain and grow sales volume across assigned accounts.
  • Actively solicit orders from both existing and prospective customers.
  • Seek out and secure new business opportunities.
  • Implement merchandising programs and promotions as directed.
  • Handle product returns in line with company policy.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Adhere to company policies and directives to meet performance goals.
  • Monitor competitor activities and report insights to management.
  • Assist in the creation of accurate sales forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer account files.
  • Submit timely reports, including call logs and expense documentation.
  • Recommend new products or changes to existing product offerings.
  • Attend required sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in safety meetings and uphold all safety procedures.
  • Address and resolve order or documentation issues promptly.
  • Assist with inventory counts as requested.
  • Represent the company in local community and industry events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by sales leadership.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in outside sales or a similar customer-facing role, preferably in building supplies
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
