Outside Sales Representative
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team at Jerome L Taylor Trucking, a leading provider of recycling and waste management services. This individual will be responsible for generating new business, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and promoting our sustainable waste management solutions to a wide range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Proactively identify and target new business opportunities in assigned territory. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by researching and reaching out to potential clients (commercial, industrial, municipal, etc.).
- Client Acquisition: Present and sell Jerome L. Taylor Trucking’s recycling and waste management services to businesses, organizations, and municipalities. Conduct meetings, site assessments, and presentations to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Relationship Building: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with services provided.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and new regulations to effectively position our services as the top choice for waste management and recycling solutions.
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service agreements with clients. Close deals and achieve sales targets and quotas.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the internal teams (customer service, operations, and logistics) to ensure smooth onboarding and service implementation for new clients.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, meetings, and pipeline status using CRM tools. Provide regular updates to management on sales progress and forecasts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in waste management, environmental services, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of recycling, waste management services, and sustainability initiatives is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with decision-makers.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (Salesforce or similar).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sales or account management, preferably in the waste management or recycling industry.
