Outdoor Power Equipment Mechanic [FNR]

Make someone's day by quickly accomplishing repairs and maintenance for power equipment used by our hard-working customers at JAX!
Our OPE Mechanic will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting problems with power equipment, all while providing top-notch customer service. This OPE Mechanic will work in a shop, communicating with co-workers and customers who are requesting repairs and maintenance. Occasional interaction with the public via phone will require honest and informative answers about chainsaws, mowers, generators, weed trimmers, blowers, wood splitters, etc. for brands that are sold at JAX or are in use by our customers. This role will be responsible for the safe and organized operation of this OPE service location and may help with cleaning, stocking and organizing the area to best suit working needs.
All JAX employees are expected to provide excellent mechanical work, professional customer service, and step up to do additional office, cleaning or reporting work as needed. Additional tasks may include:
- Assembling new stock
- Accurately processing payments
- Completing work orders
- Maintaining a clean and well-stocked area
- Complete record-keeping tasks and contributing to reports
- Learning about products to provide better answers to customer questions
- Communicating professionally
- Presenting a professional appearance and demeanor
- Taking steps to advance teamwork and develop solid working relationships with co-workers
- Assisting in inventory responsibilities
- Experience in small engine maintenance and repair required
- Must be 18+ years of age in order to comply with Colorado Youth Employment Laws regarding power equipment
- Must have knowledge and experience working on small motors or equipment like lawn mowers, snow blowers, chainsaws, etc.
- Previous knowledge or experience with Outdoor Power Equipment brands carried by JAX preferred
- Must be driven and able to self-motivate, determining priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable working in a shop in a separate building from co-workers
- Computer proficiency required

Schedule Requirements:
- Flexible schedule available
- May require some weekend work
Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00
