Position Summary
The Operations & Board Relations Manager keeps our organization running smoothly. You’ll assist with payroll, board and committee operations, donor processing, and office systems. This is a hands-on, independent role with opportunities to develop skills in nonprofit administration, event coordination, and donor relations. This role provides administrative support and coordination. All final approvals and decisions remain with the Executive Director
This part-time role (28 hours/week) is ideal for someone who enjoys system-building, detailed work, and working independently, while partnering closely with the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & HR Support

Assist with payroll, benefits, and HR record-keeping under the guidance of the Executive Director

Support onboarding and offboarding of staff

Maintain office systems, supplies, and compliance documentation
(All final approvals remain with the Executive Director)
Board & Governance Support

Coordinate board and committee meetings (scheduling, communications, materials)

Draft and finalize meeting minutes; maintain governance records

Assist with fund distribution processes and donor communications
Donor Administration & Reporting

Process donations and pledges accurately

Maintain donor records and generate acknowledgements

Prepare donor and campaign reports for internal leadership and the board
Event Support

Help plan and execute the annual meeting and occasional special events

Manage registrations, vendors, materials, and day-of logistics
Qualifications
Required
-
Associate’s degree or 3+ years in nonprofit administration, operations, or a related field

Experience managing confidential information

Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills

Comfortable with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, shared drives, databases, CRM systems
Preferred

Payroll or benefits experience

Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems

Experience supporting senior leadership or coordinating with vendors
Work Schedule & Compensation
-
$25.75–$27.45/hour, depending on experience

Part-time, Flexible schedule around core hours of 9 AM–3 PM, Monday–Friday; 28 hours/week.
