Job Description:
This position is accountable for building our business in terms of market share and sales volumes within assigned sales territory. To continually seek out new business opportunities through shelf and cold box management, pricing, point of sale merchandising, promotions/features and package/draft share dominance. Accountable for developing outstanding internal and external customer relationships.
Job Duties:
· Sell in new brands or packages as directed from management or brewery representative
· Track sales for each account assigned to ensure ample product while avoiding out-of-stocks, hotshots or overstocks
· Account Manager is responsible for any hotshots needed to cover product out-of-stocks
· Account Manager is responsible for receiving payment of delivered hotshots unless account is setup on Fintech or other prepaid system
· Prepare sales objectives to customers by balancing the company’s priorities and customers’ needs to include selling new products, cold box, well and back bar placements and resets and promotions
· Understands and works with management on inventory levels by being aware of current inventory and out-of-stock situations and by alerting management to possible fluctuations in demand
· Ensures brand visibility within accounts by maintaining account standards as determined by management and using effective and current POS materials when appropriate
· Maintains product levels in accounts by taking inventory
· Educates account staff on priority brands by educational staff training mini-lessons
· Supports account openings by placing opening orders for new accounts in collaboration with Sales Manager
· Remains informed of company/supplier activities and updates by attending and actively participating in weekly sales meetings
· Communicate with route delivery or SMS daily using the detail worksheet to meet the wants and needs of your accounts (i.e. Signage location, rotation issues, delivery times, etc)
· Promote additional sales through the selling of features and the placement of POS for all brands. Place current POS with correct prices/features in accounts where allowed
· Ensure signs are turned in and picked up on a timely manner. Take all signs from bucket when at the office
· Inform supervisor of any competitive activity that affects draught handles, pricing, packaging or any other situation that may directly affect the company
· Monitor weekly or monthly MBOs and Incentives set forth by our brewers in order to gain new sales and new package placements
· Turn in daily, weekly and monthly paperwork on time as designated by the sales manager or general manager
· Handles out-of-date products and breakage found on your route as described in or policy statement (AIS form). Moves product from account to account because of date problems to avoid bringing it back to the warehouse. Account Manager is responsible for any out-of-date product and breakage on assigned route
· Documents plans to insure completion of monthly goals and incentives. Meets product quotas set monthly and distribution goals to promote overall business and to measure performance
· Applies information from training seminars, training films and in-house training to expand product knowledge and to improve performance. (i.e. Beer Server Certification, Cicerone Training)
· Be able and willing to complete assigned work schedule on a daily basis even if extra hours are required
· Works special events, evenings and weekends when necessary
· Work with retailers on ways to increase sales. Meet with store owner/manager/director on each visit to address orders and any issues
· Track and update all draught account listings using Encompass system.
· Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
· Consult with route driver as needed (i.e. delivery instructions, etc.)
· Comply with brewery program such as Building with Beer
· Work with retailers on ways to increase sales
· Check all chain accounts for mandates and promotions to ensure proper quantities ordered
· All corporate price features/promotions are executed per supplier mandates. (i.e. timeframe, price and package specific)
· Target specific accounts using daily goals worksheet to accomplish monthly goals
· Turn in and adhere to monthly rotation schedule. (rotate stock in coolers, wells, and back stock)
· Discuss promotion opportunities with each account (i.e. happy hours) and support with POS and signage. Be creative with programming
· Have all mandatory brands / packages available in each account
· Account Manager will schedule and attend a minimum of 4 promotions per month
· Account Manager is responsible to turn in promotion schedule and recaps monthly
· Account Manager is responsible to stay within their P Card monthly balance, unless approved by Sales Manager
· Communicate any draught setups or issues to Sales Manager or Draught Tech
· Account Manger is responsible for communicating and meeting with new accounts as early as possible within his sales area
· Account Managers to visit Class B accounts as needed to gain new business (where applicable)

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· An understanding of alcoholic beverage industry
· Ability to work with computer programs associated with the performance of the position.
· Must be a results oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills; uses diplomacy and discretion
· Ability to work well with all levels of the organization, to organize, prioritize, negotiate, manage, motive others and solve problems
· Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
· Highly professional, with ability to interface well with internal and external contacts
· Have strong customer service and interpersonal expertise
· Decision making, thoroughness and time management a must
· Knowledge of geographic areas; familiarity with assigned territory
· Possess a valid Texas drivers license and have an acceptable MVR
· Carry automobile insurance per company policy
