Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Full-Time TH-SS-25010
Introduction:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team and provide occupational therapy services to residents in our skilled nursing facility. The Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant will be responsible for the implementation of treatment plans, conducting assessments and evaluations, and providing ongoing support and monitoring to ensure progress. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be able to work collaboratively with other team members. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will be assisting the occupational therapist with these tasks.
OT Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' functional abilities and needs
Develop and implement treatment plans based on client goals and needs
Provide individual and group therapy sessions to help clients improve their physical, cognitive, and motor skills
Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment
Document clients' progress and outcomes using electronic medical records
Stay up-to-date with current research and evidence-based practices in occupational therapy
Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve skills
Other duties as assigned
COTA Responsibilities:
Assist the occupational therapist with the implementation of treatment plans, including assisting with therapeutic activities and exercises
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify residents' needs and goals, including gathering relevant information and data
Provide ongoing support and monitoring to ensure progress, including conducting follow-up meetings and check-ins
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of residents' interactions and progress
Collaborate with other team members to ensure continuity of care and services
Other duties as assigned
OT Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Current state license as an Occupational Therapist
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist
Strong understanding of evidence-based practices and ability to apply them in practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
COTA Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or a related field
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant or in a similar role
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a plus
