Occupational Therapist Pediatrics
Introduction:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide high-quality care to pediatric patients. We have pediatric medical day care facilities and a long term care facility for medically fragile children. The Occupational Therapist will assess clients' functional abilities, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to help clients improve their physical, cognitive, and motor skills and abilities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of evidence-based practices and be able to work collaboratively with patients, families, and coworkers.
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' functional abilities and needs
Develop and implement treatment plans based on client goals and needs
Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment
Document clients' progress and outcomes using electronic medical records
Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve skills
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Current state license as an Occupational Therapist
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
