Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Expectations:
- Evaluate patient health and wellness, COTA may conduct tests and evaluations to measure a patient's mobility and emotional and social skills.
- A COTA may conduct tests and evaluations to measure a patient's mobility and emotional and social skills.
- Develop a treatment plan for a patient recovering from an injury.
- Maintain detailed records of patient progress and provide reports to the occupational therapist.

Requirements:
- Current OTA license
- Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must have completed NBCOT examinations for Occupational Therapy Assistants
- CPR certification
