Compensation: $35.00 per hour
JOB SUMMARY:
As a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will
provide occupational therapy to patients as directed by the Occupational
Therapist, physician and the established plan of care, in a professional,
competent manner, upholding excellence with quality of care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide treatments to patients as directed by
Occupational Therapist and established plan of care.
• Work cooperatively with other patient team
personnel in maintaining standards for professional occupational therapy
practice and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of
occupational therapy modalities.
• Manage and operate equipment safely and
correctly.
• Meet current documentation standards and
policies.
• Maintain department cleanliness and safety.
• Interact professionally with patient/family and
involve patient/family in the formation of occupational therapy exercise and
maintenance programs.
• Communicate appropriately and clearly to
occupational therapist, supervisor, staff and administrative team.
• Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized
and function under stressful situations.
• Participate in infection control, departmental
equipment training and organizational safety and fire safety programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have an Associate Degree from an accredited
Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Must meet all certification and licensure
requirements as established by the state and national board associations.
• Active license in state of work is required.
• Excellent organizational and time management
skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
skills.
• Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
• Possess current working knowledge of policies
and procedures, clinical programs with application skills to therapy
disciplines.
• Knowledge of AOTA code of ethics and role
delineation, including guidelines for supervision.
• Active CPR certification.
