Compensation: $50.00 per hour

 

Seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan, organize, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. Responsible for administrative, committee, personnel, therapy, and consultation functions. Key duties include developing therapy plans, participating in in-service education, ensuring safety and sanitation, and managing equipment and supplies. Ideal candidates have excellent communication skills, relevant experience, and the ability to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and direct occupational therapy services in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with administration, medical staff, and other departments to plan therapy services.
  • Maintain therapy standards and contribute to standardizing occupational therapy methods.
  • Review and update therapy policies, procedures, and manuals.
  • Interpret therapy policies to personnel, residents, and family members as necessary.
  • Assist in discharge planning, resident care plans, and assessments.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and address identified deficiencies.
  • Evaluate staffing needs, recommend personnel, and assist in recruitment.
  • Provide guidance, training, and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Review therapy requests, interview residents, and schedule therapy.
  • Participate in resident assessments, care plans, and quarterly reviews.
  • Conduct therapy in residents' rooms and ensure informative therapy notes.
  • Develop and participate in in-service education and orientation programs.
  • Attend workshops and seminars to stay informed on healthcare changes.
  • Assist in developing safety standards and ensure compliance with infection control procedures.
  • Recommend equipment and supply needs, and ensure safe operation of therapy equipment.
  • Assist in developing occupational therapy plans for individual residents.
  • Meet physical requirements, including lifting a minimum of 25 pounds.

Qualifications:

  • Occupational Therapy license.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Relevant experience in occupational therapy.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements.
