Position Overview

 

The Nursing Services Team Leader oversees daily operations for Med Surg and Emergency Services while ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. The role includes staff mentorship, performance oversight, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for a nurse ready to expand leadership responsibilities and contribute to team development and departmental performance. 


Responsibilities

 

·         Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements.

·         Mentor and support nursing staff through coaching, performance feedback, and professional development planning.

·         Analyze departmental metrics and implement action plans to improve quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

·         Support budget monitoring and maintain organized administrative and reporting process.

·         Partner with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support patient flow, care coordination, and operational effectiveness.

 

Wage:


$90,000 - $115,000 annual salary (compensation will be determined on qualifications and years of relevant managerial experience).

Required Qualifications

 

·         Associate Degree in Nursing

·         Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Minnesota

·         BLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained

·         ACLS and PALS: Must be obtained within one (1) year of hire; ongoing maintenance required. EBCH provides this certification.

·         CALS: Must be obtained within two (2) years of hire; ongoing maintenance is required. EBCH provides this certification.

o   TNCC and ENPC may be supplemented as meeting requirements for CALS; however, EBCH does not provide TNCC and ENPC.

 

Preferred Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

·         Minimum three (3) years of acute care hospital nursing experience

·         Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting

·         Experience with utilization review, case management, or regulatory compliance

·         Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements
