Nursing Services Team Leader

Ely, MN Full-time

The Nursing Services Team Leader ensures high-quality care by managing a skilled department, having a high understanding of nursing principles, and following policies and regulations with an understanding of Critical Access Hospital compliance in regard to the various patient stay statues. Key responsibilities include fostering teamwork, promoting effective communication, and maintaining safety and patient confidentiality in a professional manner.

Required Qualifications

·         Requires an Associate’s degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

·         Minimum of five (5) years acute hospital nursing experience required.

·         BLS required

·         ACLS, PAL or ability to obtain within six months of hire

·         CALS, or TNCC and ENPC or ability to obtain within six months of hire

o   Education requirements will be provided by EBCH

 

Preferred

·         Minimum of three (3) years acute hospital Case Management experience recommended.

·         Knowledge of criteria for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage (or willingness to learn).

·         Must have demonstrable knowledge of the healthcare industry (hospital, managed care, insurance, etc.) which includes medical terminology, insurance authorizations, etc. and/or willingness to learn.
