Summary: The Scheduler is primarily responsible for scheduling nursing staff and other elements of staff support for licensed nurse, certified medication aides and certified nursing assistants.


Job Title: Staff Development Coordinator Department: Nursing Reports to:

Director of Nursing General Purpose: Organizes, directs, and oversees the education and training of the facility staff in accordance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops and posts work schedules at least two weeks, normally four weeks in advance.
  • Ensures timely Certified Nurse Aide (CNAs, SRNAs) and Nurse assignments to meet needs of new admissions as well as existing residents
  • Maintains schedule on a daily basis of any staffing changes or resident status changes and communicates accordingly
