Position Summary

The Nursing Scheduler is responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating the nursing department schedule for STNAs, LPNs, and RNs. This role supports daily operations by maintaining adequate staffing, ensuring compliance with ratios, and communicating clearly with team members and leadership.

This is a Monday–Friday, first-shift position — perfect for someone who enjoys structure, problem-solving, and teamwork without weekend or on-call obligations.

📋 Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the master nursing schedule

  • Coordinate staff assignments and shift coverage

  • Manage call-offs and proactively fill open shifts

  • Communicate staffing changes to supervisors and unit leaders

  • Maintain compliance with staffing ratios for all shifts

  • Utilize scheduling and staffing software (UKG / OnShift / similar)

  • Track attendance patterns and escalate as appropriate

  • Assist with employee communications and timekeeping adjustments

  • Collaborate with HR and Nursing Leadership on staffing needs

  • Support a positive, respectful workplace culture

✔️ Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, email, scheduling software)

  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times

  • Must pass background and drug screening

📅 Schedule

  • Full-Time

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

  • No weekends

  • No on-call

  • Paid holidays
