Nurse Unit Manager

Broad Reach Healthcare is currently seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to join our team.

This is a MONDAY TO FRIDAY position, 4 SHIFTS PER WEEK.

In this role, you will receive a $4,000 SIGN-ON BONUS.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee direct nursing care to patients on your 40-bed long term care unit.
• Supervise day to day activities of Nurses and CNAs, planning and delegating assignments to unit nursing staff.
• Communicate clearly with all staff to assure continuity of care, updating nursing team and families with changes in patient condition.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Collaborate in planning, teaching and evaluating staff development programs for the unit.
• Make daily rounds on unit to evaluate patient status and staff performance.

Requirements:

• LPN Nursing Certificate from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN Degree Program.
• Minimum 2 years of sub-acute care experience.
• Active license to practice as a Nurse in Massachusetts.
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Strong communication and people skills.
