IMC is currently looking to hire a PRN Nuclear Medicine/PET CT.  This individual will perform Nuclear Medicine and PET CT procedures at a technical level without supervision, performs a variety of technical and imaging procedures that require independent judgment, assumes responsibility for patient safety and image quality protocols and also assists Physicians and Radiologists with procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

EDUCATION

  • Graduate from accredited Nuclear Medicine program
  • Graduate from accredited Radiologic Technology program not required, but preferred 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

  • Valid State Licensure
  • Nuclear Medicine license
  • Radiologic Technologist license not required, but preferred


TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Completion of accredited Radiology Technologist program not required, but preferred
  • Completion of Associate Degree graduate of an accredited Allied Health Occupation program
  • Completion of Nuclear Medicine School

JOB KNOWLEDGE

  • TJC standards
  • Performing all Nuclear Medicine procedures
  • Performing all PET CT procedures.

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures as ordered
  • Perform PET CT procedures as ordered
  • Performs x-rays when needed to fill in, if graduate of accredited Radiology program
  • Perform procedures on inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients
  • Transport patients
  • Process films
  • Forward findings to Radiologists and ER Physician and discuss findings, if needed
  • Assist with peer group interviews
  • Work your share of overtime when heavy workload arises
  • Order and stock supplies
  • Handle equipment problems by investigation, calling repair service, notifying Tech Supervisor or Manager
  • Assist coworkers with transport and procedures
  • Be abreast of all P.I. projects and areas routinely monitored
  • Assist Tech Supervisor and Manager with projects when needed
  • Attend department meetings, hospital in-services
  • Assists in departmental orientation to new employees
  • Follow IMC Standards of Performance, Hospital Goals, Department Goals
  • Responsible for scheduling and cost of continuing education
