Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation:
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of Italian dishes, following recipes and ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Assist in menu modifications, contributing ideas for new dishes and specials.
- Ensure proper portion control and food presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Kitchen Operations:
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including line cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
- Train new kitchen staff and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of food and kitchen equipment.
- Assist in scheduling and managing staff during busy periods.
- Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring they meet restaurant standards.
- Identify and address any issues with food quality or presentation.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Leadership and Management:
- Take initiative and problem-solve in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively and provide clear instructions to staff.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and communication with both staff and management.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Specific to Italian Cuisine:
- Possess a strong understanding of Italian cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Be able to prepare a wide variety of Italian dishes, including pasta, sauces, pizzas, and desserts.
- Be able to identify and utilize different types of Italian ingredients and their proper preparation methods.

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of Italian cuisine.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
