NON-CDL Driver
The Non-CDL Driver plays a key role in safely and efficiently servicing residential routes by transporting waste and recyclable materials, operating company vehicles, and ensuring containers are properly handled and positioned. This role requires reliability, attention to safety, and the ability to adapt to changing conditions while representing the company professionally on every route.
Responsibilities
- Transport trash, refuse, recycled materials, etc. to predetermined locations.
- Pre- and post-trip inspections of any vehicle to be operated while on duty.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations, as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Report defects, accidents or violations to supervision
- Load and empty residential containers manually or using mechanical equipment
- Ensure containers are properly positioned after service; lids are replaced, doors are secured, and there are no obstructions to driveways or traffic
- Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned routes
Skills
- Proven work experience as a laborer /truck driver
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Valid Drivers License
