LaQuinta Inn and Suites in South Bend is looking for a responsible, hardworking individual who doesn't mind the night sky and may have an addiction to coffee.

Located a walking distance to the South Bend Airport, the Laquinta Inn and Suites is a 58 room pet friendly hotel currently offering full breakfast and shuttle service to and from the airport. This job is open to all levels of experience, so whether you're a hospitality pro or looking to get a start in the business, this could be the place for you. This opening is for the night audit shift, five nights a week from 11pm to 7am.

Your duties would include, but are not limited to:

  • Checking in and checking out guests, creating and modifying reservations, answering questions about the hotel and surrounding area.
  • Monitoring the property throughout the late hours.
  • Securing payment for rooms, incidentals, market charges, or any other fees. 
  • Assisting in house guests with any problems or requests, handing out housekeeping amenaties as requested.
  • Handling guest complaints, and when needed, referring them to management when available.
  • Running End of Day Reports and all accompanying processes at the end of each day.
  • Tidying up common areas and laundry, keeping a clean and organized look to the desk and yourself
  • Assisting shuttle driver with trips to and from the airport when needed
  • Preparing breakfast before the morning crew's arrival

The ideal applicant would

  • Have previous hospitality experience, night audit a bonus
  • Be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Be able to stand for periods of time, type proficiantly, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Have strong customer service, bookkeeping, cash handling, and math skills
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures
  • Ability to perform computer-based tasks such as data entry, accounting, word processing, invoicing and billing
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Time management and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and diffuse tense situations
  • Have a friendly and welcoming attitude towards guests at all hours of the day


Pay: 10$ to 12.50$ an hour, based off experience.

Schedule required:

  • 5 nights a week.
  • Overnights
  • Holidays
  • Weekends

Experience:

  • Hotel Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
