Mobile Mechanic Manager

Chop Tree Service is looking for a manager for its mobile maintenance and repair team. This person would work closely with the current on-site shop manager and report to the fleet manager.  They would be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the mobile maintenance team to repair and service our fleet that is out in the field working.

Our fleet consists of light duty pickup trucks, medium duty class bucket trucks, wood chippers/grinders, skid steers, and other specialized tree trimming equipment.

 Duties would include:

Supervise, motivate, evaluate, and train mobile repair technicians.

Prioritize and manage technician work schedules.

Ensure safety and compliance with DOT, ANSI, and OSHA regulations for the fleet.

Maintain mobile service truck inventory and supplies.

Create and ensure work orders are completed correctly with the proper documentation.

Make onsite visits to visually inspect vehicles and equipment for service needs and proper operation.

Create and maintain outside vendor relationships near the jobsite.

 Requirements include:

Excellent communication skills.

Vehicle and equipment repair experience.

Valid drivers license with good record, CDL is a plus.

Computer and tablet experience for work orders and digital inspections.

Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances related to fleet repairs.

Detail oriented and motivated to succeed.
