Mixing Room Attendant
Details:
-Mixing activity according to the production schedule.
-Perform preoperational inspection of mixing area.
-Verify practices are appropriate concerning area cleaning, production and recordkeeping.
-Combine and mix ingredients into batches according to production schedule and batch formula.
-Ensure part number(s) and lot number(s) are properly recorded and tracked.
-Operate various industrial machinery such as augers, conveyors, mixers, power sifters, hand sifters, scales, sewing machines, air spray machines and vacuum cleaners.
-Operate various electronic devices such as computers, tablets and scanners.
-Cross-train and switch between multiple workstations in the mixing area.
-Perform equipment cleaning and change-over according to production schedule.
-Perform mixing area cleaning according to cleaning schedules.
-Perform hands-on training with mixing operators in the art mixing dry blend.
-Gather mixed batch samples and bring them to Compliance Dept. for testing.
Required Skills:
-Ability to build and manage a team.
-Ability to perform problem solving and use deductive reasoning.
-Possess finger and hand dexterity and necessary endurance for repeated tasks.
-Must be responsible, detail oriented and possess precision in math, including decimal calculations.
-Perform tasks that will result in contact with some food allergens. (Company will advise)
-High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education.
-Demonstrate commitment to company values, policies and procedures.
-Maintain integrity of highly sensitive/confidential information.
-Ability to stand and maneuver for long periods of time.
-Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift objects of up to 60 lbs.
-Ability to work well with colleagues in a professional & organized manner.
Desired Skills:
-5+ years of similar position experience.
-Proficiency in basic use of computers and Microsoft Office Applications.
-Machinery operation experience, especially Pallet Jack and Forklift experience.
-Experience in the manufacturing and food industry.
