Merchandising Assistant / Buyer

The Merchandise Assistant is responsible for driving the creation of the product assortment and line plans and the strategy for the future direction of product mix in the business. As a Merchandise Manager, you will work closely with the cross-functional teams to execute the brand vision while delivering best-in-class sales, inventory, and margin results for each category across all channels.

Responsible for:

• Work with and manage all merchandising vendors and project management or purchase orders from product production, sample approvals, buying, inventory, promotions, product placement.
• Coordinates with E-commerce, Operations, and Marketing teams to ensure the product comes to life across all touchpoints. 
• Manage brands to ensure full integration of all elements of the marketing mix, driving impactful messaging and brand consistency
• Oversight of Product and lifestyle photography/ photoshoots
• Product licensing oversight in production with partners such as Disney and others
• Work closely with Echelon Studios to develop merchandise mix/assortment and monitor inventory levels, store capacity, levels, replenishment strategies, and turn
• Responded proactively to fluctuations in business levels

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a merchant role; Athletic brand experience is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projections simultaneously
• Demonstrates expertise in identifying trends, color direction, pricing, and marketing.
• Self-starter approach to work with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives
