Veterans Engineering (VE) is seeking dedicated Medical Technologists to join our interdisciplinary care teams within a high-acuity federal healthcare setting. This role is vital in supporting laboratory diagnostics and accurate test results that directly impact the care of our nation’s veterans.

Position Highlights:
· Location: Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, IL
· Schedule: Full-time, multiple shifts available (including nights/weekends)
· Facility Type: Federal | High-Acuity | Veteran-Focused
· Duration: 6-month base with potential for 4-year extension
· Salary Range: Based on experience, specialty, and shift differentials

Responsibilities Include:
· Perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, and immunology
· Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
· Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and federal regulations
· Interpret and verify lab results for accuracy and timely reporting
· Collaborate with clinical teams to provide quality patient care

Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field
· ASCP certification (or eligible) strongly preferred
· Current and unrestricted licensure (if applicable)
· 1–2+ years of recent experience in a hospital or high-complexity lab setting
· Prior VA or federal experience highly valued
· Ability to pass background check and federal credentialing requirements
