Medical Services Manager

Overview: 

Vanguard Landing is seeing a compassionate and organized Medical Services Manager (MSM) to oversee all medically related aspects of care for our residents and day participants - adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a dynamic role ideal for an expereicnes LPN or RN who thrives in person-centered, community-based settings. What You'll Do:

• Manage our medication program, medical supply inventory, and vendor contracts.
• Coordinate with physicians, Directors, and Care Teams to ensure top-quality care.
• Support direct care staff (DSPs) through training, oversight, and scheduling guidance. 
• Participate in care planning, quality assurance, and documentation. 
• Assist residents with basic health needs when needed and promote safety, dignity, and independence. 
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment across campus. 
• Train staff in medication administration, emergency response, and safe handling practices. 
• Serve as a vital liaison to families, staff, and healthcare providers. 

What We're Looking For: 

• Active LPN or RN license (experience as DON in ALF or SNF preferred)
• Already CPR/First Aid certified (or ready to obtain)
• 2+ years managing medical care for a group in a communal setting
• Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills. 
• ability to manage crises, train staff, and stay organized in a busy environment. 

Bonus Qualifications: 

• Familiarity with Virginia DBHDS regulations.
• Comfortable with light physical duties, assisting with transfers, and navigating a diverse and active community campus.
