 Primary Responsibilities

·      With a safety focused mindset, this working Lead is responsible for overseeing and/or performing all repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment

·      Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems and perform necessary repairs in a cost effective manner; Lead will be the subject matter expert able to provide mechanical expertise to the team

·      Create and maintain a proactive preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment in accordance with industry service standards with a goal to prevent equipment usage delays

·      Perform all phases of inspection to ensure safety and compliance of all vehicles and equipment.

·      Maintain a shop that is clean, well-organized, and set up for efficiency

·      Provide updates to management on repair trends, delays or situations that may impact overall organizational productivity.

·      Continually develop personal and team mechanical knowledge and skills

·      Ensure all work is accurately performed in accordance with order repair request by completing inspections and maintaining accurate repair records/logs

Skills & Requirements

·      5 years minimum of mechanical experience, excavation and/or agricultural equipment repair and maintenance experience

·      Sufficient work experience to appropriately identify and diagnose malfunctions on equipment of all sizes

·      Prior experience leading a successful team

·      Strong interpersonal, customer service and organization skills

·      Valid NYS Drivers License; CDL is a plus

·      Excellent working knowledge of safe and efficient use of industry tools

·      Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box with a keen attention to detail
