Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The position will coordinate and oversee special maternal and

child health projects for the Coalition.

Specific Activities:

Special Projects Coordination

· Oversees special agency and program-specific projects from beginning to end. Independently

executes special strategic projects, research, and assignments. Special projects may include

but not limited to: Florida Perianal Quality Collaborative (FPQC), Safe Sleep Sub Committee,

Toxic Stress Initiative

· Plan project goals, schedules and outcomes.

· Communicate with partners, funders and staff to identify and define project requirements,

scope and objectives

· Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise

· Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

· Preparing reports as required on project status

· Drafting proposals for new projects, including researching needs and preparing detailed

outlines for presentations

Other:

· All other duties as assigned by the CEO.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and experience in public health, social work, + 5 of

years direct service experience.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

· Knowledge of best, promising and evidence-based MCH and youth development practices

· Experience or strong interest in Maternal and Child Health or non-profit work.

· Must be able to exhibit the following qualities; open minded, excellent organization skills, self-

motivated, flexible, friendly and professional demeanor and exceptional attention to detail.

· Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Coalition partner agency

staff and the general public.

· Experience in oral and written presentations. · Knowledge of community resources. · Professional appearance and demeanor. · Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. · Must be able to communicate effectively and be a team player at the Coalition. · Must be able to commit to the Coalition vision and be passionate about its mission. · Requires reliable transportation as travel is required, valid driver’s license, good driving record and automobile insurance.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA,

and other federal, state and local standards.

· Must be able to travel to alternate locations.

· Required to sit, stand, walk, speak and hear while performing the duties of this job, regularly.

The position requires extensive computer use so the employee must have sufficient hand

dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen

· Lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds.

Nothing in this job description restricts executive leadership’s right to assign or reassign duties and

responsibilities to or from this job at any time.

This position is dependent upon the continuation of funding. As such this position may terminate when

the funding is no longer available.
