Materials Handler

Current Opening

Daybrook's Empire, LA facility is seeking an experienced Material Handler. Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks, barges, and rail cars within the production facility.

Responsibilities

•    Identifying correct product for packaging or loading
• Safe use of industrial equipment to facilitate transfer of material to locations as directed
• Assist with bagging material for transport as required by customer order 
• Verify all bags are stamped with the correct lot numbers before loading or moving 
• Verify the weight is correct on each skid 
• Adhere to shipping/receiving and regulatory-compliance procedures 
• Comply with laws, regulations, and standards 
• Report shipment data such as weight, charges, and damages to supervisor
