Role: 
As Marketing Manager, you will support the development of strategy with hands-on implementation that influences and supports the advancement of Vivo’s vision, mission, values, strategic priorities and business plan.  This role oversees all aspects of marketing and communications, with a particular focus on leveraging digital platforms to maximize community impact, grow membership, and foster partnerships.
As a digitally skilled leader, you are responsible for balancing strategic planning, digital marketing management, and marketing execution through a collaborative and dynamic team of skilled professionals. 
You will also contribute to the optimization and positioning of Vivo’s value to enhance awareness, drive meaningful differentiation, preference and demand for Vivo’s products, experiences, innovation projects and donations to the charity. Your co-creation with our stakeholders and collaboration across the organization’s teams will result in sales and marketing plans which enable business objectives and exceed financial targets and enable the team to succeed in achieving the organization’s goals.

Responsibilities: 
Strategic Oversight (20%)
Marketing and Communications Strategy
Develop integrated marketing strategies that align with Vivo’s priorities and enable growth, leveraging insights from digital data, market trends, and audience behavior.
Define long-term goals for brand development, community engagement, and sponsorship growth.
Create annual marketing plans and budgets that prioritize digital marketing and measurable outcomes.

Community Engagement and Partnerships
Lead initiatives to strengthen community relationships and enhance Vivo’s visibility.
Pursue and secure sponsorship and partnership opportunities that align with Vivo’s goals.
Represent Vivo in key community discussions, ensuring alignment with stakeholder interests.

Digital Marketing Management (40%)
Digital Strategy and Execution
Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with Vivo’s goals for brand amplification, community engagement, and sustainability.  
Lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns across platforms, including social media, website, email, and digital advertising ensuring consistency with Vivo’s messaging, tone, and values. 
Own website content updates, ensuring the site is user-friendly, up-to-date, and aligned with SEO best practices.
Manage and execute email marketing campaigns, building engagement through segmentation, personalization, and performance analysis.
Stay current with emerging digital trends and technologies to enhance Vivo’s digital presence.  

Paid Advertising and Media Buying
Ad Campaign Management: Run and optimize paid campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
Budget Management: Allocate and monitor ad spend for maximum ROI.
A/B Testing: Test different ad creatives, headlines, and calls-to-action (CTAs) for effectiveness.
Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising: Run paid ad campaigns on platforms like Google Ads.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Optimize website and content for organic search rankings.
Keyword Strategy: Research and target high-value keywords for both paid and organic campaigns.

Analytics and Performance Reporting
Monitor and analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and CRM systems.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to refine future campaigns and improve ROI.
Track and report on key metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

Content Creation and Management
Oversee the production of engaging content, including videos, graphics, and written materials, optimized for digital platforms.
Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints, maintaining a cohesive and recognizable identity.
Marketing Execution (40%)

Campaign and Brand Management
Implement multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Champion brand consistency across all marketing materials within all Vivo departments, ensuring a unified tone and visual identity.
Develop annual marketing plan and budget.
Negotiation and purchase all paid media.

Event and Community Marketing
Plan and execute promotional strategies for Vivo events, managing signage, digital outreach, and on-site marketing efforts.
Serve as the marketing point of contact during events, ensuring seamless execution and strong community engagement.

Communications Management
Oversee all external communications, including press releases, media relations, and public statements.
Ensure consistency and alignment in messaging across all communication channels.
Manage relationships with media outlets and coordinate media opportunities.
Work with the leaders to develop engaging communications for our internal team.  

Community Engagement
Coordinate and implement community outreach programs and initiatives.
Engage with community partners and stakeholders to foster strong relationships.
Represent Vivo at community events and meetings to promote organizational goals.

Partnership and Sponsorship Management
Identify, develop, and manage relationships with partners and sponsors.
Create sponsorship packages and proposals to secure funding and support for Vivo's programs and events.
Maintain ongoing communication with partners and sponsors to ensure mutually beneficial relationships.

Team Leadership
Inspire, empower, build capacity and shape how the Marketing Team delivers strong results, impact, efficiencies across the organization, and develops scalable processes. 
Hold the team accountable for achieving established work-plans and targets through regular follow-up, feedback and coaching.  
Recruit, onboard, train, mentor and performance manage the Marketing Team utilizing Human Resources best practices, policies and processes to ensure a high-performing team.
Manage external marketing agencies/consultants, continually monitoring to ensure that projects are assigned to the appropriate resources, as well as consistency in how the brand is handled across all mediums including, monitoring which projects are handled internally and which are outsourced, in order to optimize the cost/quality/timing balance.

Qualifications: 
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or digital marketing or a related field.
5+ years of experience in marketing, with significant experience in digital marketing.
Proven track record of executing high-impact digital campaigns and managing multi-channel strategies.
Experience in nonprofit, community-based, or recreation organizations is an asset.

Skills and Competencies
Expertise in digital marketing platforms, tools, and analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Content management systems (WordPress), social media platforms, and email marketing tools (Mail Chimp), ability to read and write code considered an asset.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for various audiences and platforms.
Creative thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
Collaborative team player with a proactive and hands-on work ethic.
Requirements
Police Information Clearance within the past 2 months.
