About the Role
As the Marketing Intern, you’ll play an integral role in supporting the marketing and communications efforts that fuel Vivo’s mission.
This is a hands-on opportunity to bring ideas to life, connect with the community, and grow your skillset in a values-led organization.
You’ll work closely with our Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to craft compelling content, support community events, analyze campaign performance, and shape strategies that amplify our message —one that matters.
What You’ll Do
Here’s a snapshot of how you’ll contribute:
- Content Creation: Draft engaging content for social media, newsletters, blog posts, and internal communications.
- Social Media Management: Assist in scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on posts across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Campaign Support: Help develop and execute campaigns that promote events, programs, and strategic initiatives.
- Event Marketing: Provide coordination support for community events, activations, and onsite promotional efforts.
- Research & Insights: Conduct competitor and market research to identify trends and best practices.
- Brand Stewardship: Ensure all content aligns with Vivo’s voice, visual identity, and mission.
- Measurement & Reporting: Assist in tracking and analyzing marketing metrics, compiling performance reports to guide decision-making.
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Curious, collaborative, and community-minded
- A strong communicator (both written and visual)
- Organized and adaptable, with a bias for action
- Willing to learn and ready to contribute
Your Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a diploma or degree program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a marketing or communications role (co-ops or student projects welcome)
- Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Hootsuite)
- Basic understanding of digital marketing principles and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Canva, Mailchimp)
- Experience in non-profit, recreation, or community-based organizations is an asset
- Comfort with Adobe Creative Suite or video editing tools is a bonus!
