Our team’s market research and consumer insight’s function is to leverage both primary and secondary research data to identify industry trends, knowledge gaps, industry whitespaces and present proactive data solutions to help drive growth. Work will be to bring data-driven insights to enhance customer engagement activities through providing influential insights in alignment with our strategic plan.
SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• B.A. Marketing, market research or related field | Food Marketing preferred
• 2-4 years in a marketing analytics role preferably at a food manufacturer/retailer/supplier
• Consulting and/or consumer packaged goods industry research, analysis, and/or consumer insights experience preferred.
• Ability to establish strong relationships across departments, and with leaders at all levels.
• Must be professional, a team player with curiosity to extract meaningful data insights. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ability prioritize/manage multiple research projects across platforms simultaneously and hit deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel with technical acumen to learn new skills, platforms etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Research and analyze food and beverage flavor trends using platforms like Mintel, Circana, Datassential and more…
• Monitor social channels to listen, identify, and understand consumer food interests and decipher fads and trends.
• Weave together qualitative, quantitative, and sales data to craft a cohesive, compelling narrative using storytelling techniques.
• Conduct quarterly menu analysis to discover emerging food trends, flavors, ingredients …
• Understand how new and emerging technologies can affect consumer tastes and buying behaviors.
• Understand consumer tastes via a variety of online and offline techniques directly with consumers to understand liking and purchase intent.
• Support development of an annual research and data plan to understand and document competitive intel.
• Contribute analysis for major reports, such as white papers or state of the industry reports.
• Engage with researchers, outside companies and other organizations to discover high-impact research opportunities.
• Target specific segments through continual marketing list development and refinement.
• Elevate and expand our target marketing channels through research, with a focus on enhancing our B2B presence.
• Work closely with research & development, regulatory and sales teams to support ad-hoc customer projects.
• Support other miscellaneous projects and administrative tasks, as needed.
