Branch Manager

Job Summary: Manages all branch employees and supervises day-to-day operations of the branch in a professional and efficient manner. Ensures safety, operational soundness and excellent service levels are provided within the branch. Responsible for the sales production and culture in the branch and the development of new and existing customers.

Duties:

  • Cultivate new bank business from existing clients and prospects. 
  • Manage and lead branch.
  • Motivate, coach and lead employees to provide a sale and service-oriented environment. 
  • Provides sales and service training and guidance through weekly meetings. 
  • Monitor and manage sales tracking in conjunction with sales plan.
  • Plans and organizes activities to attain internal performance objectives
  • Supervise all staff; appropriately delegate duties and tasks. 
  • Manages all facets of branch including but not limited to the safety and soundness of the branch and the day to day operations of the branch. 
  • Develop prospect list on predetermined business and retail relationships
  • Assists staff in resolving out-of-balance reconciliations; accountable for surprise audits, as required, for Account Representatives, vault and ATM. 
  • Participates in special projects and assignments and performs other duties as assigned. 
  • Refer appropriate Mortgage and Commercial loan products / services to appropriate lender

 

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Education and or work experience.

  • Sales-oriented

  • Strong people skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Proficient oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient computer and keyboard skills

  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week (as needed) and occasionally on Saturdays

  • Objectively handle, process, and secure sensitive information and communications
  • General understanding of banking fundamentals

 

 

Preferred Job Qualifications:

 

  • Prior branch manager experience

  • Proven sales and staff management skills
