Position Overview

 

Join us in supporting multiple shipyard locations across WA state with your experience and expertise! This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional to engage in Marine Electrician tasks, ensuring excellence in every aspect of the job.

 

Contract Duration: March 17, 2025 –Open Ended


Compensation: $25 - $38 per hour with weekly pay and per diem packages where "Travelers" are accepted.

 

 Key Requirements:

 Citizenship- U.S Citizen with proof (Original/ Certified Birth Certificate or U.S Passport). Must be able to obtain a "DBIDS" Badge.

 Certifications- Maritime OSHA 10 certification.

 Experience- Previous shipyard experience required

 Working Hours- 40-70 hours per week

Scheduling:

Diverse shifts including 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts.

Monday through Friday with overtime, and weekends as requested by client. 

 

 

**Job Description:**

 

Venture Dynamics is seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing, installing, replacing, and testing electrical circuits and systems aboard vessels and in shipyard facilities. This position requires adherence to applicable standards, including IEEE45 rules for AC and DC installations, and proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical manuals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

- Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, cables, and equipment.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

- Commission and test various electrical equipment, including motors, generators, control systems, and lighting systems.

- Mount and install power distribution panels, pull and terminate cables, and test controllers and transformers.

- Maintain and troubleshoot systems such as PLCs, ship alarms, and other electrical controls.

- Adhere to all safety and quality standards, including attending relevant meetings.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Knowledge and experience with AC and DC circuits and IEEE45 regulations.

- Ability to work with voltages ranging from 24-480 volts.

- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

- Physical ability to climb ladders, work on scaffolding, and lift up to 75 pounds.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 

Additional Responsibilities:


- Participate in system upgrades and routine maintenance.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.

- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
