SUMMARY

This role will oversee the day-to-day SMT machine operation, printed circuit board assembly, and department operations. Critical responsibilities will include all indirect personal and or teams related to maintain and sustain day to day plant performance goals, safety, quality, planning and schedule outlook, personnel utilization, efficiency, scrap, inventory control, quality, facility and equipment maintenance, and product support personnel.

Full time Position

Starting Pay is $55,000-$65,000 a year, based on experience

Shift Monday-Friday:

  • 7am-3:30pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Production Coordinator to help with the creation and distribution of work orders.
  • Assist with the material planning and purchasing with the correct departments.
  • Assist in purchasing functions.
  • Able to perform “hands-on” assembly and SMT machine operation, programming, and maintenance.
  • Accountable for work center tooling requirements.
  • Create, update, and maintain manufacturing process documentation when appropriate.
  • Responsible for product inventory position and accuracy.
  • Continuously improve product efficiency and cost, by working with the Engineering and Purchasing departments.
  • Help in the development, coordination, and implementation of technical training for manufacturing employees.
  • Help create contingency plans for emergency events.
  • Help with creating department budget.
  • Performs work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Responsible for all SMT, Test and Quality outputs.
  • Perform visual quality inspections.
  • Maintain activity logs and or production orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Full understanding and experience with SMT technology to understand set up, operations, safety requirements, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to understand photometric analysis using an integrating sphere and a goniophotometer is a plus.       
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control.
  • Experience in the lighting technology LED is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations SDS handbook standards and ability to apply and enforce same.
  • Can do attitude and willingness to help out others whenever and wherever may be needed.
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of MRP/ERP programs.
  • Blueprint reading experience.
  • Forklift experience a plus.
  • Must be able to stand for extend periods of time.
  • Adapt to hot/cold environment, humidity, dust, and noise.

 ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • Safety Glasses – Company provided - Required while in the shop.
  • Industrial work shoes or boots required while in the shop.
  • Proper PPE must be worn for the job – Company provided.
  • Hearing protection – Company provided/Recommended.
  • Must wear long pants.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
