We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Production Coordinator

The Manufacturing Production Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all production activities in the manufacturing facility. This role is the central point of communication between the production floor, engineering, quality, purchasing, and shipping/receiving. The Manufacturing Production Coordinator will develop and maintain the production schedule, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled on time and that raw materials are available when needed. This role will also work closely with the operations team to ensure that manufacturing processes are running smoothly and that any issues are quickly resolved. The ideal candidate will have experience in production planning and scheduling, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain production schedules, equipment utilization, and product quality while maximizing efficiency
  • Monitor work progress and revise schedules as needed to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Coordinate with other departments to procure necessary materials and resources for production
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements
  • Investigate and resolve production issues in a timely manner
  • Train and mentor new employees on proper production procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of production data and metrics
  • Generate reports to track production KPIs
  • Collaborate with team leaders to develop shift schedules and staffing plans
  • Collaborate closely with Operations Manager & Inventory Coordinator to ensure timely completion of production schedule & Orders
  • Enforce safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a production coordinator or similar role
  • Advanced Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in Peat Harvest or Agricultural Industry
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX software
  • CSTS considered an asset
  • Strong Data Analytics
  • Robust understanding of Systems
