Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Rubicon Organics’ mission is to grow the best cannabis on earth and for the earth. We are looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our growing team.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will serve as the finance business partner leading Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, this position will be responsible for leading management reporting, forecasting, and business analysis.  This is a dynamic hands-on role requiring successful candidates to demonstrate critical thinking, dealing with ambiguity and the ability to succeed in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:

· Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the annual operating budgets, quarterly/monthly forecasts

· Performance Analysis: Lead the development and analysis of appropriate KPIs to provide actionable insights to stakeholders, identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and margin improvement

· Operations Finance: Collaborate with Operations & Supply Chain teams to analyze cost drivers, prepare monthly inventory reconciliation and reporting

· Commercial Finance: Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to support pricing strategies and new product launches

· Business Partnership: Build strong relationships with operational teams, sales, marketing, and other departments to drive financial performance and support decision-making

· Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management, highlighting variances against budget, forecast. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data

· Internal Control: Champion a strong Internal Control and streamline processes

· Ad-Hoc Analysis: Lead projects, audit requests and more

Requirements:

·         MBA, CPA or equivalent education and experience

·         3-4 years of relevant experience

·         Strong computer literacy with advanced level Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivots, advanced formulas) are required.

·         Experience with Dynamic 365 or other financial software/ERP is preferred  

·         Detail oriented person with strong analytical skills

·         Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

·         Acts with a strong sense of urgency & accountability

·         Displays self-initiative to identify issues, and to operate independently

·         Creative problem solving to business issues and is motivated by seeking process improvement

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with a variety of people at different levels within the organization

·         Previous experience working in finance in the cannabis industry or similar is preferred

This is a Hybrid role – based out of our Downtown Vancouver office (2/3 days a week) with occasional travel to our Delta Greenhouse (approximately once per month).
