The Manager Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting is responsible for leading and managing the planning and budgeting process for the Company’s operations. This includes overseeing the development of annual budgets, short and long-term financial forecasts, and the allocation of resources to ensure optimal financial performance. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, department heads, and cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives, while ensuring cost control and maximizing profitability in a highly dynamic and competitive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and execution of the annual budget and multi-year financial plans for the business with a specific focus on Revenue and Operating Costs.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive Business reporting and Financial reports for the Private Equity funder, Senior Management and the Board of Directors. Provide clear insights into financial performance, budget variances, and recommend corrective actions to stay on track with strategic objectives.
- Ensure that the business and financial planning is closely aligned with the company’s strategic goals, growth targets, and operational requirements.
- Create and maintain financial forecasts, updating them regularly based on actual performance, market trends, and business conditions.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to assess business scenarios, capital expenditures, operational expenses, and profitability.
- Collaborate with operational teams to monitor and control costs, identifying opportunities to optimize spending while maintaining service quality and network expansion goals.
- Propose strategies for cost reduction without compromising on key initiatives.
- Conduct analysis of revenue generation, pricing strategies, and profitability of RFNOW products and services (ex. broadband, TV, voice, and enterprise solutions).
- Work closely with operations, construction, network engineering, sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure that budgets reflect realistic operational goals and market conditions.
- Partner with business leaders to make data-driven decisions regarding investments in infrastructure, technology, and customer-facing initiatives.
- Ensure budgeting and financial practices adhere to telecom industry regulations and standards.
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes impacting the telecom industry, including licensing, taxation, and capital investment policies, to ensure compliance.
- Identify financial risks related to budgeting and resource allocation and propose strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure the Company’s financial health.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in financial planning, business planning, budgeting, and analysis, preferably within the telecommunications industry or a related sector.
- Minimum 3 years experience creating materials (presentations, regular reporting, etc.) for Executive leadership team
- Strong experience in managing budgets for large-scale infrastructure projects, network operations, and telecom services.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting practices, preferably within the telecom industry.
- Proficient in financial management software and tools, such as NetSuite, etc. with advanced financial modeling capabilities.
- Superior skills in Excel and Powerpoint required.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, particularly during budget cycles or financial close periods.
