Reporting to the Property Manager, your role as Maintenance Technician is focused on household maintenance including but not limited to:
- Liaison with Quality Assurance Manager on prioritizing and responding to general inquiries in a timely manner
- Minor renovations of cabinets, doors, cupboards, and other household fixtures
- Repair and replacement of doors and door fixtures
- Moving equipment, materials, and supplies
- Minor plumbing repairs including but not limited to minor faucet repair, plunging toilets, bathtubs, and sinks
-Minor plastering/painting
- Bulk garbage removal and occasional garbage collection
- other duties as required
This role will bring you from one office to the next; to the homes of children, youth, and adults in care; and to other Seafair related properties as required. Clients and staff alike will look forward to your visits, your great sense of humor, and your solution-oriented focus. No two days will be the same (except for the endless laughs and strong sense of purpose). Travel throughout the province is required for this position.
What you'll bring? You know your way around general maintenance, able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., willingness to work in multiple work environments throughout the work week, are a licensed driver in clear standing, and can provide a satisfactory Record of Conduct/Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Protection Clearance Check.
