Maintenance Technician - VA Beach

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA for The Apartment Gallery at our Legends at the Beach, Kings Grant and Beamons Mill communities.

Position Summary

In this critical role for the residential community, you will maintain all physical aspects of the buildings as well as general apartment maintenance on a daily basis along with the grounds.  You will participate in the apartment turn-key process, service requests, and preventative maintenance programs.  Chosen candidate will contribute to the organization and inventory control of the Maintenance Shop and other storage areas, apply all safety standards and practices associated with maintenance operations, and effectively communicate with residents, vendors and other employees. The ability to work independently is a must.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and experience coupled with diagnostic and repair skills for trades such as appliance repair, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting. Be able to perform essential physical qualifications and possess the ability to work long/flexible hours in inclement weather and emergency situations such as snow removal, excessive heat, storms, etc. and participate in the on-call rotation with inconvenience pay included.  Must provide your own hand tools, be able to prioritize/schedule work assignments according to the property needs and ensure an outstanding level of customer service. HVAC Certification preferred.

A valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation are all conditions of employment.
