About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our assisted living community. In this role, you will perform routine and preventative maintenance to ensure our building, equipment, and systems remain safe, functional, and compliant with all regulations. You’ll play a key part in creating a clean, comfortable, and secure environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Manage maintenance inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance of all systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Work collaboratively with staff to support a safe and well-maintained environment.
• Follow all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Attend required training sessions and staff meetings.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, ideally in a healthcare or skilled nursing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
• Work performed in an assisted living/skilled nursing environment.
• Exposure to noise, chemicals, and various environmental conditions may occur.
• Work may take place indoors and outdoors.
• Occasional evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts may be required.
