Maintenance Technician Full-time 8:30am - 5pm
We have an immediate opening at Luther Park Community for a full-time, experienced Maintenance Technician to work 8:30am - 5pm Monday through Friday. This position will also participate in the weekend and evening call rotation. This position will be at the Trinity Center at Luther Park, a 120 bed Health Center specializing in Alzheimer's care. Experience in a health care setting is preferred. There will be various levels of maintenance involved in maintaining our buildings and grounds. This position will assist in the maintenance and repairs of mechanical equipment and various utility systems and services in compliance with building and safety codes throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
Respond to and complete resident work orders ensuring quality of service to maximum resident satisfaction
Perform work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned
Perform general maintenance projects as assigned including installations and repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry work, painting, equipment repair, snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance
Maintain office, shop, storage and mechanical areas.
Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment and the achievement of safe working practices
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information
Must be able to work under all types of weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, etc.)
Participate in on-call building coverage on weekends and after hours as assigned

Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
Basic understanding of maintenance practices and procdures
Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience; health care experience preferred
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
Drywall and painting experience
Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Must read, write, speak and comprehend English
Reliable transportation and clean driving record
