Maintenance Technician

Introduction:

We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team and perform a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities.  The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, as well as troubleshooting and repairing equipment and systems as needed. The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and complete tasks as instructed. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, replacing gas hoses, checking and replacing filters, and completing tasks such as painting, mulching and pressure washing .

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems as needed, including electrical and plumbing. (Applicant must be willing to attend classes as assigned that will increase their knowledge of these areas. Cost will be covered by employer.) 

• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and be willing to work on Saturdays and Sundays in an emergency

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory and turn in a monthly facility report on each store location

• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

• Fulfill a schedule of 35-40 hours a week, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with 30 minute lunch break. (hours may adjust for special projects or emergency situations)

  
  

Qualifications:

• Prefer some amount of experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems (training provided to increase efficiency in these areas)

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a timely manner

• Dependable worker who is trustworthy with company property and funds
