Maintenance Tech

Fort Worth, TX Full-time

The Maintenance Technician oversees the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of the organization s facilities, equipment, and machinery through planning, coordinating, and directing all maintenance activities to ensure machine reliability and minimize unexpected downtime.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
  • Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
  • Ensure that spare parts, components, and tools needed for maintenance are always available by ordering, forecasting, and monitoring material inventories.
  • Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and optimize the organization s maintenance management plan in accordance with its goals to improve uptime and minimize costs.
  • Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality..

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • 5 years experience in Industrial Maintenance, Including knowledge of hydraulic, electrical controls, power transmission components and experience in maintaining machinery, manufacturing with high-speed automation equipment, or peripheral equipment utilized in assembly are preferred.
  • Strong hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC helpful .
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Willing and Able to work any shift
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and the ability and willingness to stand or walk during entire shift while working in moderate to noisy manufacturing environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude
  • Mechanical aptitude and proven ability to learn mechanical, electrical and material principles
